OtherHalf AI Terms of Service
These are the rules that apply when you use OtherHalf AI. They cover who may join, what is allowed in a conversation, how payments work and where responsibility sits.
Acceptance of these terms
By using otherhalfe.com or any OtherHalf AI companion chat, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the service.
Who may use the service
You must be at least eighteen years old and legally able to enter into a contract. Accounts that fail this requirement are closed without notice.
Description of the service
OtherHalf AI provides conversational companion characters. Every companion is a fictional character; none of them is a real person and none of the profiles describe a real individual.
Account registration
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you register with and for keeping your login credentials confidential.
Account security
Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You remain responsible for activity carried out through your account until you report a problem.
One account per person
Each person may hold one account. Creating additional accounts to evade limits or enforcement action is a breach of these terms.
Acceptable use
Do not use OtherHalf AI to harass others, to break the law, to attempt to identify real individuals, or to generate material involving minors under any circumstances.
Prohibited content
Content promoting violence, exploitation, trafficking, self-harm instructions, or the impersonation of real people is not permitted and may be reported to authorities.
No scraping or automation
Automated collection of pages, bulk message generation, and reverse engineering of the service are prohibited without our prior written consent.
Service availability
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. Maintenance, upgrades and events outside our control may interrupt access.
Changes to the service
Features may be added, changed or withdrawn. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature, we will inform affected members in advance.
Free access
Starting a conversation is free. Free access may carry usage limits that we can adjust to keep the service stable for everyone.
Paid plans
Paid plans, where offered, are described at the point of purchase, including price, billing period and what is included.
Billing and renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand through your account settings.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
Refunds
Refunds are handled in line with the consumer law that applies to you. Where no statutory right applies, refund requests are considered case by case.
Taxes
Prices may exclude value added tax or sales tax. Any applicable tax is shown before you confirm a purchase.
Intellectual property
The OtherHalf AI name, logo, site design, written character profiles and imagery are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law.
Licence to use the site
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use OtherHalf AI for your own private, non-commercial purposes.
Your content
You keep ownership of the messages you write. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them purely to operate the service for you.
Feedback
If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation, compensation or attribution.
Third-party services
The service may rely on or link to third-party providers. We are not responsible for their content, policies or availability.
Not professional advice
Nothing produced in a conversation is medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. Consult a qualified professional for those matters.
Crisis situations
OtherHalf AI is not an emergency service. If you or someone else may be in danger, contact your local emergency number or a recognised crisis line immediately.
Accuracy of responses
Companion replies are generated and may be incorrect or inconsistent. Verify anything important before acting on it.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, harms other members, or creates legal risk for the service.
Your right to leave
You may close your account at any time from your settings, and the data consequences are described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, OtherHalf AI is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding twelve months.
Indemnity
You agree to cover reasonable claims and costs arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
